Brodie Wheaton - Office Manager
My secretary, Brodie, has been faithfully working at my side
since my practice began in 1996. She has been nothing less than the glue
which has held the practice together, coordinating all aspects of my
small solo medical practice, including reception, scheduling, medical
assisting, billing, patient counseling, marketing, website designer,
presentation coordinator, and listening ear to those patients who need it.
But now I have some exciting news which tops any of the aforementioned accolades: Caroline Brodie Hackney will become Caroline Brodie Wheaton in June of 2009! Brodie is engaged to be married to my brother, David! Although it may cause a little confusion in the office at first, I am overjoyed by this new added relationship that I will have with Brodie.
Brodie and her family have been our family's dearest and best friends for almost 32 years. David and Brodie have a wonderful story completely wrought by the will of God. My wish and my prayer is that Brodie and David will join together in a common purpose to honor and serve God and each other as they walk through life together.
Nikki Jensen - Receptionist and Medical Assistant
Nikki Jensen has been with Lakeside Sports and Pain Clinic since March 2008. Over a year ago, my secretary and office manager, Brodie, and I had talked about the need for additional part-time help. Before we had a chance to advertize for the position, we received an unsolicited email from Nikki, a University of Minnesota student majoring in kinesiology.
Normally, it takes numerous applicants and interviews to find one quality person. However, the decision to add Nikki to our clinic was an easy one. Not only was she a quality candidate her birthday was September 27th. You may find it odd to mention that, but both Brodie and Jenny (our previous receptionist) share this birthdate!! The odds of that must be greater than the national debt. It is not a job requirement to have a September 27th birthday, but a rather funny coincidence!
Nikki is now a senior at the U of M and will graduate in December 2009. She has affirmed her interest in the field of medicine and will be applying to medical school this year after taking the Medical School Admission Test (MCAT). Her interest is the specialty of Orthopedics which is appropriate in light of her ACL tear and surgery while playing soccer for the U of M. She will be a lucky person if she can finish her employment at Lakeside without receiving Prolotherapy. Whether she learns to do Prolotherapy as a doctor or not remains to be seen. We are pleased to have Nikki at Lakeside Clinic.
